The pizza is baked flat bread made with wheat flour, salt, water and yeast and topped with tomato sauce and other ingredients like cheese, salami, mushrooms, onions, ham or olives. Original Neapolitan cuisine (Italy), has become very popular worldwide and presents very different variants. However, the Neapolitan pizza has been the only one for which has been recognized an appellation of origin itself of the European Union, called Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (or its acronym in Italian, STG Specialità Tradizionale Garantita). This recognition was obtained on February 4, 2010 to the Associazione Verace proposed Pizza Napoletana.
